So, Household incomes average around $140,160 in Arlington. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

I've lived in Downtown for about 3 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's been a really good experience overall. When I first moved here from Phoenix, I was surprised by traffic. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Affordable housing options
- The healthcare scene is tough

The downsides:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for retirees. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. the quality of life is solid. Compared to Chicago it's improving.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are improving, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
