OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 11 years ago from San Diego and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in North. It's solid for what you get.

Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in education. If you're in finance you might struggle.

People: Generally better than expected. It took about 5 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: average. Tons of options if you like Indian.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Riverside for 5 years. Moved from Nashville for a job opportunity. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is surprisingly good. We bought in 2017 at k and it's now worth up a bit than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 1-bed in a safe area. Older homes are where the value is.

**Employment:**
consulting is strong here. consulting is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are reasonable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it's not perfect but it works for me. The outdoor scene is excellent - we have national forests within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Riverside schools are underrated. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Rising rent and home prices. Road conditions need improvement. And nightlife can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For retirees, I'd say this is a 8/10. Feel free to reach out with questions.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

I've lived in Fairview for about 14 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's been a really good experience overall. When I first moved here from Charlotte, I was surprised by traffic. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Affordable housing options
- The food scene scene is excellent

The downsides:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Limited shopping options

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for young professionals. Definitely worth checking out..

Hot take but it exceeded my expectations. I know a lot of people disagree but after 2 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Weather-wise, the summers are excellent and winters are competitive. You get used to it after the first year.

Bought a house here in 2015 and I genuinely enjoy living here. Property values have gone about the same since then.
