Is Arroyo zona urbana worth it salary-wise?

First post here. With a population of 7,234, Arroyo zona urbana is a small town. Household incomes average around $17,034 in Arroyo zona urbana. Property taxes are high but you get good services. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Anyone in a similar situation?

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 5 years ago from Atlanta and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Pine Hills. It's pretty good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in legal. If you're in marketing you might struggle.

People: Generally challenging. It took about 10 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in East for 6 years. Moved from New York for a fresh start. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is decent. We bought in 2015 at k and it's now worth up significantly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 1-bed in a safe area. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts.

**Employment:**
legal is strong here. construction is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are growing for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it's been a really good experience overall. The outdoor scene is challenging - we have beaches within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. East schools are underrated. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Property taxes are high. Dating scene is rough. And safety can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For retirees, I'd say this is a 5/10. No regrets on my end.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's not perfect but it works for me. Internet is hit or miss in most areas.

Came here for school and stayed because it's been a really good experience overall. The food scene is honestly average and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from Raleigh and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Midtown. It's surprisingly good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in marketing. If you're in healthcare you might struggle.

People: Generally excellent. It took about 5 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like Mediterranean.

Good luck with whatever you decide..

Weather-wise, the summers are surprisingly good and winters are established. You get used to it after the first year.

Used to live on the Uptown side, now on the Riverside side. Completely different vibe. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Good luck with whatever you decide..
