What surprised you most about Artesia?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but My family moved here when I was a kid. The median home value here is around $763,700, which is pretty steep. Household incomes average around $97,712 in Artesia. The weather takes some getting used to. What would you do?

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem better than expected.

I've been here 5 years and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The thing nobody mentions is weather. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the community vibe is legit. And if you're into hiking, this place is tough.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Greenfield side vs the Fairview side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Used to live on the Lakewood side, now on the Sunset side. Completely different vibe. it's improved dramatically in recent years.
