Hey everyone, My family moved here when I was a kid. Household incomes average around $77,647 in Artesia. It's a a small town city with about 12,555 people. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Let me know your thoughts. The weather takes some getting used to. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a data analyst who relocated here from Charlotte about 5 years ago. The main reasons were family and cost of living.
Pros I've experienced:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Good internet infrastructure
- Lots of family-friendly activities
Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Property taxes are high
Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are developing, gas is average.
Socially, the quality of life is solid. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem better than expected.
I've been here 7 years and it's improved dramatically in recent years. The thing nobody mentions is community vibe. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the public transit is legit. And if you're into golfing, this place is underrated.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Uptown side vs the Cedar Grove side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. I love the pace of life here. Compared to Boston it's underrated.

The food scene here is challenging. Tons of great Korean places. it's not perfect but it works for me.
