Cost of living reality check -Asbury

Hey, Homes are going for about $312,400 on average. With a population of 5,949, Asbury is a small town. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Anyone in a similar situation? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

My experience has been mostly positive. I'm still on the fence after all this time. The only thing I'd watch out for is dating scene. Other than that, Hope this helps!.

We moved here with our family and it's been a really good experience overall. Schools in West area are pretty good. Kids love it here.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.

I've been here 14 years and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The thing nobody mentions is nightlife. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the food scene is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is excellent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Lakewood side vs the Springfield side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

The food scene here is improving. Tons of great Thai places. I have mixed feelings honestly.
