Asbury Park quality of life -am I missing something?

Random thought, I grew up here but left for a while. With a population of 15,239, Asbury Park is a small town. Would love some local perspective. TIA!

Bought a house here in 2016 and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Property values have gone up a bit since then.

As someone who grew up here, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. A lot has changed in the past few years though. safety used to be much developing but now it's hit or miss.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it exceeded my expectations. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
