So, I'm retired and It's a a smaller city city with about 45,551 people. Average temperature is around 56--F, so the weather is moderate. The unemployment rate is 2.2%, which is pretty low. Median household income is $152,094, which feels pretty solid for the area. Household incomes average around $152,094 in Ashburn. The suburbs are where most families end up. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

- Strong sense of community

Cons:
- Hot summers
- Poor road conditions
- Not enough green space

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is job market. I have mixed feelings honestly. Worth doing your research before committing.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want pet-friendliness, then yeah this place is great. But if public transit matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a sales manager who relocated here from Salt Lake City about 4 years ago. The main reasons were work and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Good internet infrastructure

Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Winters are long and cold

Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are reasonable, gas is decent.

Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. Hope this helps!.
