The median home value here is around $173,900, which is actually reasonable. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. What would you do? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a project manager who relocated here from Pittsburgh about 8 years ago. The main reasons were school and school.
Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Good healthcare facilities
- Strong sense of community
Cons that are real:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Limited entertainment options
Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are developing, gas is underrated.
Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I work in hospitality here and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The job market for my field is better than expected. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
