Job market in Ashton-Sandy Spring for tech?

Hey, Average temperature is around 57--F, so the weather is moderate. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Am I overthinking this?

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 12 years ago from Baltimore and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Greenfield. It's better than expected for what you get.

Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in tech. If you're in marketing you might struggle.

People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 4 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: decent. Tons of options if you like Italian.

Happy to answer more specific questions..

I've lived in South for about 7 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. When I first moved here from Denver, I was surprised by outdoor recreation. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Decent public transit for the size
- The community vibe scene is tough

The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Limited shopping options

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for families. No regrets on my end..

I'm a HR manager and I've found it's exactly what I was looking for. The community is solid and there's always something going on.

Weather-wise, the summers are excellent and winters are competitive. You get used to it after the first year.
