Not sure if this has been asked before, but Been living here since 2008. Poverty rate is 5.7%, which is pretty low. Property taxes are high but you get good services. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

Weather-wise, the summers are decent and winters are pricey. You get used to it after the first year.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want food scene, then yeah this place is great. But if job market matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 11 years ago from Miami and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Riverside. It's challenging for what you get.
Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in retail. If you're in real estate you might struggle.
People: Generally pretty good. It took about 17 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: decent. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.
