Biggest downsides of living in Assumption?

Household incomes average around $55,764 in Assumption. Rent is about $646/month for a decent place. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. What neighborhoods would you suggest? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want community vibe, then yeah this place is great. But if community vibe matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

The food scene here is underrated. Tons of great Mexican places. it's not perfect but it works for me.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Compared to New York it's hit or miss.
