OK so I'm a 47-year-old social worker and The median home value here is around $231,300, which is actually reasonable. Homes are going for about $231,300 on average. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Anyone in a similar situation? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is food scene. it's improved dramatically in recent years. Worth doing your research before committing.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want walkability, then yeah this place is great. But if traffic matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem hit or miss.
I've been here 11 years and I love the pace of life here. The thing nobody mentions is cost of living. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the walkability is legit. And if you're into rock climbing, this place is average.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Pine Hills side vs the Sunset side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
