Is Atascocita worth moving to in 2026?

OK so I work in tech and Homes are going for about $283,700 on average. Median household income is $114,443, which feels pretty solid for the area. Household incomes average around $114,443 in Atascocita. The weather takes some getting used to. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Any advice would be great. Thanks for reading. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The city has invested a lot in new development. The weather takes some getting used to. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Came here for a fresh start and stayed because I love the pace of life here. The safety is honestly excellent and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from Seattle and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Pine Hills. It's challenging for what you get.

Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in construction. If you're in government you might struggle.

People: Generally tough. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like Thai.

No regrets on my end..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. I love the pace of life here. Compared to Pittsburgh it's better than expected.

Used to live on the Oak Park side, now on the Sunset side. Completely different vibe. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.
