Working remotely from Atglen

Not sure if this has been asked before, but We have two kids and Homes are going for about $289,900 on average. Rent is about $1,183/month for a decent place. The suburbs are where most families end up. Should I be concerned?

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 5 years ago from Baltimore and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in East. It's underrated for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in government. If you're in retail you might struggle.

People: Generally excellent. It took about 9 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: decent. Tons of options if you like BBQ.

Good luck with whatever you decide..

Bought a house here in 2020 and I have mixed feelings honestly. Property values have gone up a bit since then.
