Worst things about Athens nobody talks about

Hello, It's a a smaller city city with about 27,474 people. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Anyone in a similar situation? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem underrated.

I've been here 11 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is traffic. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the nightlife is legit. And if you're into mountain biking, this place is underrated.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Eastside side vs the Downtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
