Unpopular opinion about Athens-Clarke County

I grew up here but left for a while. The unemployment rate is 3.2%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider — Athens-Clarke County sits at 306.2 per 100K. It's a a mid-size city city with about 127K people. Household incomes average around $51,655 in Athens-Clarke County. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. What do you all think? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Property taxes are high but you get good services. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much.
