Been meaning to ask this. We have two kids and Median household income is $103,288, which feels pretty solid for the area. With a population of 13,353, Atlantic Beach is a small town. Crime rate is something to consider -Atlantic Beach sits at 257.5 per 100K. The unemployment rate is 1.5%, which is pretty low. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. What neighborhoods would you suggest? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Public transit is average here. You'll probably need a car for most things. the quality of life is solid.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. the quality of life is solid. Compared to Miami it's tough.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a accountant who relocated here from New York about 13 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and retirement.
Pros I've experienced:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Active local events and festivals
- Good airport with direct flights
Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Limited entertainment options
Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are stable, gas is improving.
Socially, it exceeded my expectations. Definitely worth checking out..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is food scene. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Worth doing your research before committing.

I've been living here for 8 years and I'd say I have mixed feelings honestly. The traffic is surprisingly good compared to other places I've lived. Overall Feel free to reach out with questions..
