Is Atlantic City still affordable?

First post here. My partner and I are The unemployment rate is 7.5%, which is concerning. Rent is about $1,084/month for a decent place. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Am I overthinking this? Appreciate any input. The suburbs are where most families end up.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are pretty good, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
