Hey folks, Median household income is $63,945, which feels about average for the area. Rent is about $1,219/month for a decent place. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Thanks for reading. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Used to live on the Uptown side, now on the Maple Ridge side. Completely different vibe. I'm still on the fence after all this time.

We moved here with our family and it's been a really good experience overall. Schools in Westside area are decent. Kids love it here.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from Dallas and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in West. It's average for what you get.
Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in legal. If you're in government you might struggle.
People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like Indian.
Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
