Anyone else love living in Au Sable?

Median household income is $46,369, which feels on the lower side for the area. It's a a small town city with about 1,780 people. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Does this match your experience? Thanks for reading. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value cultural scene, you'll love it. The dating scene is genuinely excellent and I've found I have mixed feelings honestly. My neighborhood (East) is reasonable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Baltimore, be prepared for the culture shock. pet-friendliness is completely different here. And Homeless population growing downtown.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
