Is Auburn getting better or worse?
Curious what people think. It's a a smaller city city with about 78,738 people. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a writer who relocated here from Denver about 8 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and a fresh start.
Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Strong job market in several industries
- Good internet infrastructure
Cons that are real:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Dating scene is rough
Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are wild, gas is tough.
Socially, the quality of life is solid. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
