Why I chose Auburn Hills over bigger cities

First post here. I'm a teacher here and Homes are going for about $233,900 on average. It's a a small town city with about 24,911 people. The unemployment rate is 3.5%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider -Auburn Hills sits at 336.2 per 100K. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The suburbs are where most families end up. Let me know your thoughts. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

Came here for family and stayed because I'm still on the fence after all this time. The dating scene is honestly tough and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
