Job market in Auburn for tech?

So, Just moved here 18 months ago and Homes are going for about $135,700 on average. Crime rate is something to consider -Auburn sits at 509.9 per 100K. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Would love some local perspective.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value public transit, you'll love it. The traffic is genuinely surprisingly good and I've found I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. My neighborhood (Greenfield) is growing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Dallas, be prepared for the culture shock. traffic is completely different here. And Limited shopping options.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

My experience has been mostly positive. I have mixed feelings honestly. The only thing I'd watch out for is community vibe. Other than that, Feel free to reach out with questions..

Bought a house here in 2016 and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Property values have gone up significantly since then.
