First post here. We're a young couple and Median household income is $48,756, which feels on the lower side for the area. The weather takes some getting used to. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Cheers. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

Public transit is underrated here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value school system, you'll love it. The pet-friendliness is genuinely better than expected and I've found I genuinely enjoy living here. My neighborhood (Riverside) is wild and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Nashville, be prepared for the culture shock. dating scene is completely different here. And Limited public transit options.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
