Most overrated things about Augusta

Alright, You can expect to pay around $887 for rent here. Homes are going for about $188,900 on average. Median household income is $48,756, which feels on the lower side for the area. The unemployment rate is 4.1%, which is about average. Household incomes average around $48,756 in Augusta. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Pros:
- Friendly people
- Nice parks and trails
- Lots of new development

Cons:
- Limited public transit
- Rising rent prices
- Few job opportunities in some fields
- Far from major airports
Has anyone dealt with this? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a pharmacist who relocated here from Austin about 6 years ago. The main reasons were work and family.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good healthcare facilities

Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Nightlife is limited

Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are growing, gas is excellent.

Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Hope this helps!.
