Hey, With a population of 202K, Augusta-Richmond County is a mid-size city. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The city has invested a lot in new development. Am I overthinking this? The city has invested a lot in new development.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.
I've been here 15 years and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The thing nobody mentions is cultural scene. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the healthcare is legit. And if you're into kayaking, this place is pretty good.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Uptown side vs the Cedar Grove side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I genuinely enjoy living here. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
