Job market in Aurora for tech?

Hi all, My partner and I are With a population of 390K, Aurora is a mid-size city. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Is this normal for Aurora? Property taxes are high but you get good services. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

I'm a real estate agent and I've found I have mixed feelings honestly. The community is underrated and there's always something going on.

Public transit is excellent here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I genuinely enjoy living here.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 2 years ago from LA and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in North. It's decent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in education. If you're in tech you might struggle.

People: Generally decent. It took about 11 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: solid. Tons of options if you like BBQ.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 3 years ago from LA and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Uptown. It's better than expected for what you get.

Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in manufacturing. If you're in manufacturing you might struggle.

People: Generally tough. It took about 11 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: average. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.

Happy to answer more specific questions..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is safety. it was the best decision I ever made. Worth doing your research before committing.

I've lived in Meadowbrook for about 4 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from Portland, I was surprised by healthcare. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Good internet infrastructure
- The traffic scene is excellent

The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Chain restaurants dominate

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for remote workers. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
