Rent prices in Aurora getting crazy

Anyone else noticing rent going up fast in Aurora? Over the last year, I feel like prices went up at least 10-15%. I'm paying $1535 for a 2BR which feels okay for the area.

Are there any neighborhoods that are still affordable? Thinking about moving to a cheaper area.

Don't sleep on Westside. It's up and coming and still affordable.

Downtown is overrated and overpriced. The suburbs offer way better value.

The job market has been improving lately. Several finance companies moved in recently.

As someone who moved here from Philadelphia, I can confirm most of this. The job opportunities surprised me the most.

Coming from Denver, the cost of living difference is noticeable. Groceries and gas are slightly more expensive but housing makes up for it.

Rent tip: look for places in October-November. Prices drop and there's more availability.

Great post! One thing I'd mention is the west side tends to be more affordable. Makes a big difference.

For families, I'd recommend looking at Riverside. Schools are rated well and it's quiet.

Public transit needs work but they're investing in it. Should improve in next few years.

Weather is the biggest factor for us. Four seasons are nice, not too extreme either way.

I've lived in Downtown for 6 years and it's still one of the best decisions I made.

Check out the Westside area. Way more affordable and still close to everything.
