Aurora is underrated, change my mind
Been meaning to ask this. Military spouse here. It's a a small town city with about 17,386 people. The median home value here is around $371,400, which seems about average. The unemployment rate is 3.0%, which is pretty low. Homes are going for about $371,400 on average. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The city has invested a lot in new development. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The weather takes some getting used to. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.
