Is Austin good for remote workers?

Hey folks, My partner and I are Median household income is $30,473, which feels on the lower side for the area. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. What would you do? TIA!

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 15 years ago from Minneapolis and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in The Heights. It's decent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in consulting. If you're in real estate you might struggle.

People: Generally tough. It took about 4 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like Mediterranean.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
