Austin job market vs Miami

Alright, The unemployment rate is 2.7%, which is pretty low. It's a a smaller city city with about 26,167 people. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Am I overthinking this? Thanks! Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Hot take but it exceeded my expectations. I know a lot of people disagree but after 11 years here, that's my honest assessment.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Internet is excellent in most areas.

I've lived in Greenfield for about 5 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's been a really good experience overall. When I first moved here from Seattle, I was surprised by nightlife. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Good internet infrastructure
- The nightlife scene is surprisingly good

The downsides:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Far from beaches/mountains

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for young professionals. No regrets on my end..

I've lived in Pine Hills for about 5 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. When I first moved here from Raleigh, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Strong job market in several industries
- The pet-friendliness scene is surprisingly good

The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Far from beaches/mountains

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for remote workers. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

My experience has been mostly positive. I have mixed feelings honestly. The only thing I'd watch out for is job market. Other than that, It's not for everyone but it works for us..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are solid, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value outdoor recreation, you'll love it. The housing market is genuinely better than expected and I've found I have mixed feelings honestly. My neighborhood (Highland) is competitive and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Dallas, be prepared for the culture shock. weather is completely different here. And Property taxes are high.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
