Best apartments in Austin under ?

Alright, I'm originally from Minneapolis and Median household income is $66,488, which feels about average for the area. The median home value here is around $155,100, which is actually reasonable. The unemployment rate is 2.7%, which is pretty low. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Pros:
- Friendly people
- Good schools
- Strong sense of community
- Good airport connections

Cons:
- Traffic can be terrible
- Limited public transit
- Limited nightlife
- Mosquitoes and humidity
- Far from major airports

The weather takes some getting used to. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a accountant who relocated here from Houston about 12 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and cost of living.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good schools in most areas
- Good airport with direct flights

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Can feel isolated

Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are stable, gas is challenging.

Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

I work in construction here and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The job market for my field is average. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Public transit is better than expected here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it exceeded my expectations.
