Random thought, Rent is about $767/month for a decent place. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. What would you do? Looking forward to hearing from you all.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from LA and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Old Town. It's decent for what you get.
Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in tech you might struggle.
People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 14 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like BBQ.
