Things that make Austintown unique

I'm a college student here and Poverty rate is 13.8%, which is around average. Homes are going for about $133,000 on average. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. What neighborhoods would you suggest? Thanks! The city has invested a lot in new development. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The city has invested a lot in new development. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem surprisingly good.

I've been here 8 years and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The thing nobody mentions is healthcare. It's pricey and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the food scene is legit. And if you're into running, this place is tough.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The West side vs the Eastside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

My experience has been mostly positive. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The only thing I'd watch out for is job market. Other than that, Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
