I've lived in North for about 9 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's not perfect but it works for me. When I first moved here from Phoenix, I was surprised by weather. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Active local events and festivals
- Close to major attractions
- The cost of living scene is hit or miss

The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Urban sprawl is real

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for remote workers. No regrets on my end..

I've been living here for 1 years and I'd say I have mixed feelings honestly. The community vibe is hit or miss compared to other places I've lived. Overall It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value cultural scene, you'll love it. The safety is genuinely excellent and I've found there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. My neighborhood (East) is developing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Phoenix, be prepared for the culture shock. job market is completely different here. And Not very walkable outside downtown.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a contractor who relocated here from Seattle about 9 years ago. The main reasons were family and family.

Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good schools in most areas
- Good airport with direct flights

Cons that are real:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Chain restaurants dominate

Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are established, gas is challenging.

Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. Good luck with whatever you decide..
