Been meaning to ask this. I grew up here but left for a while. Poverty rate is 22.6%, which is higher than I expected. It's a a small town city with about 9,879 people. The unemployment rate is 4.1%, which is about average. The suburbs are where most families end up. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Would love some local perspective. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.
