Working in Aztec -salaries realistic?

First post here. I'm a nurse at the local hospital and You can expect to pay around $765 for rent here. Homes are going for about $164,700 on average. Household incomes average around $42,699 in Aztec. Median household income is $42,699, which feels on the lower side for the area. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Am I overthinking this? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are surprisingly good, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a marketing manager who relocated here from Dallas about 9 years ago. The main reasons were work and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good internet infrastructure
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Limited shopping options

Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are growing, gas is average.

Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Good luck with whatever you decide..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is food scene. it was the best decision I ever made. Worth doing your research before committing.
