OK so Military spouse here. Homes are going for about $163,700 on average. Crime rate is something to consider -Babson Park sits at 443.9 per 100K. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Has anyone dealt with this? Property taxes are high but you get good services. Property taxes are high but you get good services. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The city has invested a lot in new development. The weather takes some getting used to.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a real estate agent who relocated here from Houston about 2 years ago. The main reasons were work and quality of life.
Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Active local events and festivals
Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Property taxes are high
Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are wild, gas is underrated.
Socially, it exceeded my expectations. Feel free to reach out with questions..

My experience has been mostly positive. it's not perfect but it works for me. The only thing I'd watch out for is community vibe. Other than that, It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Bought a house here in 2017 and I genuinely enjoy living here. Property values have gone down slightly since then.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is walkability. it's not perfect but it works for me. Worth doing your research before committing.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are pretty good, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
