Relocating to Bailey's Crossroads, VA -pros and cons?

Alright, I relocated for work and Average temperature is around 59--F, so the weather is moderate. Median household income is $84,241, which feels pretty solid for the area. With a population of 25,458, Bailey's Crossroads is a smaller city. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The food scene here is surprisingly good. What would you do? Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The city has invested a lot in new development. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The suburbs are where most families end up.

Bought a house here in 2018 and I'm still on the fence after all this time. Property values have gone about the same since then.

My experience has been mostly positive. I love the pace of life here. The only thing I'd watch out for is community vibe. Other than that, Good luck with whatever you decide..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem improving.

I've been here 8 years and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The thing nobody mentions is walkability. It's pricey and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the nightlife is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is improving.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The West side vs the Cedar Grove side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Happy to answer more specific questions..
