Anyone else love living in Bainbridge?

I'm a 46-year-old electrician and Homes are going for about $150,600 on average. What do you all think?

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a electrician who relocated here from Houston about 9 years ago. The main reasons were work and family.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Lots of new development happening
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Road conditions need improvement

Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are manageable, gas is average.

Socially, it exceeded my expectations. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

The food scene here is pretty good. Tons of great craft beer places. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value job market, you'll love it. The job market is genuinely tough and I've found I genuinely enjoy living here. My neighborhood (Oak Park) is established and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Salt Lake City, be prepared for the culture shock. dating scene is completely different here. And Traffic during rush hour is rough.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
