Is Bainbridge Island good for remote workers?

So, Homes are going for about $1,076,200 on average. Average temperature is around 52--F, so expect cold winters. Crime rate is something to consider -Bainbridge Island sits at 39.9 per 100K. With a population of 24,607, Bainbridge Island is a small town. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The suburbs are where most families end up. The city has invested a lot in new development. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Public transit is challenging here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's improved dramatically in recent years.

Used to live on the Highland side, now on the Meadowbrook side. Completely different vibe. it's exactly what I was looking for.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. I love the pace of life here. Compared to Denver it's pretty good.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value healthcare, you'll love it. The job market is genuinely average and I've found I love the pace of life here. My neighborhood (Old Town) is developing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from San Francisco, be prepared for the culture shock. nightlife is completely different here. And Rising rent and home prices.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
