Job market in Bainbridge Island for tech?

Been living here since 2020. The median home value here is around $1,076,200, which is pretty steep. Median household income is $159,882, which feels pretty solid for the area. The unemployment rate is 1.8%, which is pretty low. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The weather takes some getting used to. Am I overthinking this? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The weather takes some getting used to. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The city has invested a lot in new development. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

I've lived in Oak Park for about 7 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from Dallas, I was surprised by cultural scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Nice parks and green spaces
- The food scene scene is average

The downsides:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Dating scene is rough

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for retirees. No regrets on my end..

I've been living here for 5 years and I'd say I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The school system is better than expected compared to other places I've lived. Overall Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
