What's it really like living in Baldwin?

My family moved here when I was a kid. Median household income is $77,882, which feels about average for the area. Poverty rate is 9.4%, which is pretty low. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Let me know your thoughts. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a physical therapist who relocated here from Nashville about 1 years ago. The main reasons were weather and a job opportunity.

Pros I've experienced:

- Great outdoor activities nearby

- Good schools in most areas

- Good healthcare facilities

Cons that are real:

- Nightlife is limited

- Can feel isolated

Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are manageable, gas is average.

Socially, it's not perfect but it works for me. No regrets on my end..
