First time home buyer in Ballenger Creek

Hey, The unemployment rate is 2.6%, which is pretty low. Median household income is $108,385, which feels pretty solid for the area. The median home value here is around $369,800, which seems about average. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The suburbs are where most families end up. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Any advice would be great. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The weather takes some getting used to. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The suburbs are where most families end up. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a real estate agent who relocated here from San Francisco about 4 years ago. The main reasons were work and a job opportunity.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good healthcare facilities

Cons that are real:
- Property taxes are high
- Far from beaches/mountains

Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are developing, gas is tough.

Socially, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Feel free to reach out with questions..

The food scene here is decent. Tons of great craft beer places. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.
