Housing market in Ballwin right now

Hey everyone, Born and raised here. With a population of 30,835, Ballwin is a smaller city. The median home value here is around $353,400, which seems about average. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Should I be concerned? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

Hot take but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. I know a lot of people disagree but after 15 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Public transit is hit or miss here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's not perfect but it works for me.

My experience has been mostly positive. it's improved dramatically in recent years. The only thing I'd watch out for is walkability. Other than that, Good luck with whatever you decide..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a electrician who relocated here from Seattle about 9 years ago. The main reasons were school and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Lots of new development happening
- Close to major attractions
- Affordable housing options

Cons that are real:
- Can feel isolated
- Far from beaches/mountains

Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are developing, gas is solid.

Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
