OK so Crime rate is something to consider -Baltic sits at 442.2 per 100K. Am I overthinking this? Any help is appreciated.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are hit or miss, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a chef who relocated here from Denver about 14 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and family.
Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good healthcare facilities
- Strong job market in several industries
Cons that are real:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Limited high-paying job options
Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are pricey, gas is tough.
Socially, the quality of life is solid. Good luck with whatever you decide..
