Best apartments in Baltimore under ?

I relocated for work and Poverty rate is 15.3%, which is higher than I expected. The median home value here is around $219,300, which is actually reasonable. Homes are going for about $219,300 on average. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Am I overthinking this? Appreciate any input. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Used to live on the Meadowbrook side, now on the West side. Completely different vibe. I genuinely enjoy living here.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a chef, 34, moved here 2 years ago from Boston. I've lived in Fairview and Downtown, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Great outdoor activities nearby
2. Decent public transit for the size
3. Diverse dining options
4. The people are generally hit or miss - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Winters are long and cold
2. Limited shopping options
3. The school system situation is wild and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Fairview: Great for young professionals. pretty good vibes, walkable.
- Downtown: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Boston, everything felt decent. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are growing. Gas is growing. You can live comfortably on $90K-$130K here.

**Final verdict:**
Good luck with whatever you decide.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want weather, then yeah this place is great. But if cost of living matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
