Should I move to Baltimore or stay in Memphis?

First post here. Rent is about $1,290/month for a decent place. The unemployment rate is 4.1%, which is about average. It's a a major city city with about 577K people. Homes are going for about $219,300 on average. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The suburbs are where most families end up. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Anyone in a similar situation? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are average, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
