Affordable areas near Bangor Base?

Longtime lurker here, I've been here for 14 years and Median household income is $84,485, which feels pretty solid for the area. Is this normal for Bangor Base?

My experience has been mostly positive. I genuinely enjoy living here. The only thing I'd watch out for is public transit. Other than that, Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's exactly what I was looking for. Internet is solid in most areas.
